For most of her early work Cindy Carol used her birth name Carol Sydes. She had recurring roles in Leave It To Beaver and on The Loretta Young Show as a teenager. In 1963 she played the role of Gidget in Gidget Goes To Rome, at which time she changed her screen name to Cindy Carol. Her last screen credit was at age 21.
